TIMA MONTEMAYOR "UNTIL NOW" CD

Tima's songwriting reflects some of her many diverse musical and cultural influences. Like from her father, an accomplished Filipino Jazz musician, to being a student of Chinese Opera, to being mesmerized by the percussion and chants of monks from temples she visited with her Chinese Buddhist grandmother. Add to this, her love of rock n' roll, then toss in a little bit of Spanish influence from her paternal grandparents, and you are starting to get the picture of the eclectic mix Tima brings to her music.

Her debut CD, "Until Now", is a testament to her diverse background. Drawing on her many influences, Tima manages to incorporate some of the sounds, rhythms, and textures of her multi-cultured past, while staying true to her rock and classic piano vibe, and the down to earth universal themes of her lyrics.
