Angela nasce a Bari il 31 Maggio del 1976 sotto il segno dei Gemelli. Sin da bambina è affascinata dalla "composizione" che durante gli anni scolastici prende forma nella scrittura di poesie e di brevi racconti, partecipando alla pubblicazione di alcune raccolte sotto la direzione del poeta Nico Mori. Frequenta gli studi classici e dopo la maturità inizia il lungo percorso verso la laurea... All'età di 6 anni la sua passione per l'arte la porta ad una prima esperienza con la ginnastica artistica e successivamente a muovere i primi passi nel mondo della danza che poi la accompagnerà per gli anni futuri. Inizia gli studi di danza classica con il maestro russo Momo, frequenta corsi di danza jazz, contemporanea, teatro-danza, tip-tap e si diploma nel 2000 in danza moderna e modern-jazz con il metodo della Royal Academy of Dancing; approfondisce in seguito il metodo Vaganova e negli anni partecipa a numerosi stage con maestri come Steve LaChance, Victor Liftinov, Kelvin Hardy. Dal 2000 si avvicina maggiormente al modern-jazz e sarà in questa categoria che parteciperà a diversi concorsi nazionali ed internazionali in tutta Italia classificandosi sempre con buoni risultati. Ancora ragazzina, l'amore per la musica la conduce ad affiancare il percorso della danza allo studio della chitarra e sarà con questo strumento che scriverà i suoi primi brani. Nel 2001 si trasferisce a Firenze, dove vive attualmente, e qui oltre ad esibirsi in alcuni spettacoli di danza, incomincia una collaborazione musicale con Massimiliano Agati ( batterista, polistrumentista e programmatore Marco Masini,Umberto Tozzi, Anna Oxa, ecc.). Insieme lavorano per nuovi progetti di artisti emergenti ed Angela principalmente nella realizzazione di musiche e testi. Nel 2003 segue lezioni di canto con l'insegnante Laura Landi ( cantante e corista per Claudio Baglioni, Aleandro Baldi, Marco Masini). Nello stesso anno, facendo bagaglio delle esperienze fiorentine e dei nuovi stimoli esterni, ispirandosi a modelli come Elisa e James Taylor, inizia a lavorare ad un progetto pop in lingua inglese come cantautrice, indirizzandosi verso un sound intimista e sobrio. E' questo il lavoro che sta portando avanti tuttora ed ha attualmente realizzato alcuni dei brani che ne fanno parte sempre con la collaborazione di Massimiliano Agati in veste di arrangiatore. Nel 2007 consegue la laurea in Giurisprudenza. In questi ultimi mesi sta partecipando all'avvio di un progetto live che la vede come voce femminile di un duo pop in versione acustica.
Angela was born in Bari on 31 May 1976 under the sign
of the Twins.
As a small child she becomes fascinated by the “composition”,
infact during the school years she writes many poems and short stories, taking
part in the publication of some books under the direction of the poet Nico Mori.
She
attends a course of classical studies and after the school living certificate,
she begins the long way for taking a degree in law...
At the age of six her
passion for art leads herself to the first experience in callisthenics and afterwards
to take her first steps in the dance's world, occupation that she'll do for the
next years.
She begins the sudies of classical ballet with the teacher Momo,
then she attend courses of jazz dance, contemporary dance, thatre dance, tip-tap;
year 2000 she takes a certificate in modern dance and modern-jazz with the Royal
Academy of Dancing.
Owing to this, she studies in depth the Vaganova technique
and in the next years she has a share in some stages with teacher like Steve LaChance,
Victor Liftinov, Kelvin Hardy.
Since 2000 she more approach herself to the
modern-jazz and just in this category she'll take part in
many national and
international competitions in the whole of Italy, being placed always with good
results.
Still very young the love for music leads herself to put beside the
dance, the study of acoustic guitar;
infact with this instrument she will
write her first songs.
Year 2001 she moves to Florence, where she actually
lives, and here besides performing as a dancer in some shows, she begins a musical
collaboration with Massimiliano Agati ( drummer, polyinstrumentalist, computer
programmer Marco Masini,Umberto Tozzi, Anna Oxa, etc.).
Toghether they work
for new projects of emerging artists and Angela principally for the production
of texts and musics.
Year 2003 she takes lessons of singing with the teacher
Laura Landi ( singer and chorus singer for Claudio Baglioni, Aleandro Baldi, Marco
Masini).
The same year, making fund of the florentine experiences and of the
new external spurs, being inspired by models like Elisa and James Taylor, she
begins to work for pop project in english like songwriter, searching for a sound
more intimist and sober.
This is the job at which still now she's working and
she has actually produced some songs of this project always with the collaboration
of Massimiliano Agati like arranger.
Year 2007 she degree in Law with the mark
of 108/110.
In these last months she's taking part in a new live-project like
the femal voice in a pop-duet for an acoustic version.
